The kitchen and baths in this well-built 1990s home in one of Western Massachusetts’ hill towns had not been updated. A new owner purchased the house, and was ready to make the house his own! The kitchen’s well-organized footprint was mostly maintained, adding new cabinetry, appliances, fixtures, finishes (including new tile flooring and backsplash).
The half bath off the kitchen’s footprint was also maintained for the most part, adding new fixtures, finishes (including wallpaper) and bringing the flooring from the kitchen into the bath.
The primary bath took two back-to-back dated upstairs baths and created one large primary bath, with a large tiled walk-in shower and freestanding bathtub, in addition to the new fixtures, vanity with tile backsplash, and more.
Fixtures, finishes and tile (with their varying colors and textures) were chosen to create a connection with the open spaces nearby, highlighting stone and sky.
